Dungeness and Railway

Take a trip along the coast to Dungeness which is close to the power station.  Here you can pick up the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.  There are a couple of pubs in Dungeness too.

Dungeness and Nature Reserve

The Dungeness reserve is set back from the sea, boasting mile after mile of open shingle, freshwater pits, wet grassland and stunning wildflower meadows. They look after the reserve's wet and dry grasslands to create good breeding conditions for Lapwings, Redshanks and Garganeys, as well as two uncommon bumblebee species – the Brown-banded Carder Bee and Red-shanked Carder Bee.

Dover does not take long to drive to from Camber. If you fancy a day out in France you can easily catch a ferry over - you will need your passport. Dover Castle is a great place for adults and children - very interesting tours to go on and see how the castle was used in WW2.

RCM Ypress Tower - Rye Castle Museum

The Ypres Tower is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It has uneven floors, low doorways, uneven steps and no lift. The Women’s Tower is situated in the garden, down a flight of steps. There is a Virtual Tour available on the main floor.

Kite Surfing Lessons in Camber

They are located a 2 minute's walk from the Camber teaching zone at number 123 Lydd Rd. They are not on the beach, but are in Broomhill carpark. They do have a physical shop where you can buy kitesurfing equipment and accessories. The kitesurfing teaching zone is 200m from their door.
